About Renesha

Congratulations on taking the first step to becoming a better you and thank you for considering me to help you get there. My name is Renesha Nichols. I am a licensed clinical social worker who has worked in the mental health field for 9+ years. I have been working with at-risk children, adolescents and families in crisis for the past 8 years. My specialty is serving and supporting individuals, parents, couples and families who are DCF-involved or within the foster care and adoptive system. Unfortunately there is no instruction book on parenting but having a supportive person to listen without judging and help establish structure in your home, strengthen relationships and re-build some normalcy can be very beneficial.

I am trained in Trauma Focus Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. I use a strength-based approach to motivate individuals and families to overcome their struggles and crisis.

Having fun is also important. So I incorporate interactive therapy techniques to address impaired interpersonal skills that often negatively impact relationships. Lets face it, we live in a world full of technology that limits face-to-face interactions. So you will be surprised what can be revealed in therapy.
